Multishine question

I can double shine very quickly and consistently with the control stick instead of y or x. However, it seems to be impossible to get a 3rd shine after the first 2 with this method. Is it possible to multishine with the control stick? Are there any other drawbacks to this method? Any feedback is appreciated.

Thanks,
Squidtastic

Do it the way you feel the most comfortable with.
The "easiest" way is with Y because it's closest to the B button and you can hold down between shines. l do it with X because l always have jumped with it.

Anywho, you're better off shine grabbing, it's easier to execute and you get a grab lol.

Its possible, you just need to be fast and precise with your control stick as @ krazyzyko krazyzyko said do what ever makes you feel comfortable just make sure that you practice it, Repetition is key.

Also shine grabbing is easy and helpful but not perfect for all situations so its nice to have multi-shine in your back pocket in case you need to shield pressure, i mean you can just pillar a shield but i feel like that gets punished more.

i can do it just fine.
If you have a problem with the 3+ shine its usually because you dont realize to delay your shine so that falco comes back to the ground before shining again. falcos doubleshine comes out on frame 1 and 7, every time afterward it repeats every 11 frames due to the need to come back to the ground.
