Im just getting into advanced techniques and currently I'm working on wavedashing. It the first thing im gonna do, and I want to perfect it. But, I'm having alot of trouble becoming fluent with it, I cant do it really fast repeatedly. Plus, most of the time i just end up jumping or shielding. And tips on improving my wavedashing? And also, How long did it take you to be able to fluently wavedash across Final Destination?

Much difficulty wavedashing

It took me not too long to learn. I suggest practicing Luigi's or the Ice Climbers' wavedash and getting used to that first.
The timing is very tricky with Fox. Many say he's the hardest character to wavedash with at first (personally I would say Ganondorf). Just stick with it and you'll get it eventually, I promise.
Use it against your friends. Actually, overuse it against your friends. That's the only way you'll really develop a sleek and effective wavedashing game.

Just keep doing it over and over and over. And over again.
At first, don't focuss on being fast. Just focuss on getting it done. After you can do it fluently slow, kick the speed up a notch, and work from there.
