So about three hours ago I was pleasantly surprised when the idea of chain-grabbing decided to "click" in my head. I get it now! ._. I have to develop how good I am at it still, but it is definitely useful for moving enemies to the ledge, then off that same ledge. I'm also working on airdodging to break momentum when I'm sent flying, another technique I'm slowly developing. But with any luck I'll be pretty handy at these soon and can bring my game up that much farther ^_^

Right here, not quite now
Airdodging isn't very good for slowing down momentum. What you should do instead is to do a back air (the aerial kick) as fast as possible, and then immediately smash the analog stick down.

There is a lot more to learn about DI (directional influence). For more information, ask about it in this thread: http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=174236

With perfect DI, Dedede lives longer than any other character in the game (except possibly Donkey Kong).
