Most well rounded 3 mains for counter picking characters?

So in order to cover for my Fox's bad matchups, I've decided to pick up Mario and Shiek. Fox struggles a lot vs Lucas, Zelda, and Lucario and I feel like Mario performs very well vs Lucario and Shiek is really good vs Lucas with her needles killing Lucas's recovery.

What do you all think are the 3 most well rounded mains to pick for counter picking reasons?

Fox. He doesn't have any terrible MU's. Don't see how Lucario is a bad MU for Fox either. Fox has -1's at WORST and even those are debatable.

I never said terrible, just bad. I hate fighting certain characters as Fox as well like Lucas since he has a free guaranteed tech chase on most characters and it's also rather difficult to get in a few good hits on Lucas as fox without them being bad trades for him as well, so I just CP Shiek.

Also, Lucario can convert any of his crouch cancelled hits into a combo, it's not very pretty for Fox so I play Mario because his CC DSmash is great at keeping away Lucario.

Lucario has a bad neutral game though and you should be able to capitalize with Fox's amazing neutral.

You said he struggles a lot. Fox doesn't have many bad MU's as stated before. You're pretty much saying you personally don't like playing the MU against those characters as Fox and want to play someone else?

Anyone who can CG fox, has easy way to rack up DMG, has a reliable way to kill, and doesn't have a hard time edge guarding him, can beat fox. Some of those MU are even, in their favor or bad for fox. I don't know why people think fox is so PERF in PM.

Its cool seeing deep get into smash. If you dont want to worry about MUs then simply play mario. The guy is broken as balls, which can be very broken on occasions. Dont listen to the people that claim that fox is on the top, this is not melee yet they pretend it is. If you want to play the strongest character in the game, play diddy. Sure he may get nerfed soon for his opness, but the same will happen to fox due to the hypocritical oath sworn by all pmers that cant handle spacies and refuse to adapt yet claim that people should simply adapt to truly op charactets like diddy. Dont listen to people who think fox is good in this game, theyre bad and i wouldnt trust a pmer with their own children to be honest with you.

M2K counterpicks away from Fox all the time. I agree Fox has a great match-up spread overall, but he still struggles against certain characters.

Explain how fox is supposed to beat pit, mario, wolf, lucas, diddy, or mk. I could understand an argument for any other character but quite frankly all of these characters outclass fox and most characters. The only solution i can think of is to be good and outplay your opponent but to be honest tmveing good is not always an optimal choice

Yea, fox isn't as amazing in this game or maybe I should say, he isn't as dominating as he previously was. He still has everything that made him number one in melee, but everyone can dirty you so dam EZly. Like, if you're a new-mid level fox, life is ass. You actually gotta be on some next level stuff, to really be this god like image everyone views fox as.

I don't know about the post regarding his MU..
