Most Polished Custom Characters?

Hey guys, I want to celebrate the years and years of dedicated work by the Brawl modding community.

There have been a LOT of custom characters. It's overwhelming to try to find the most recent, polished version of each character. I want to compile a list of the best custom characters ever made.

If you know of any, please let me know so I can add them to the list. I mainly want to focus on characters within the realm of possibility of being seen in Smash, but feel free to share anything.

My goal is to piece together every resource needed to add a fully working and immersive character to a custom build. I'm not a modding expert, and I don't fully understand how complex this process is. I hope the character can be added to a custom build of Project M or Smash using BrawlEX so that no characters will be replaced. You don't need to know where to find every requirement at once, just share what you have! Eventually, I hope to compile the character PSA, recolors and alternate costumes, stock icons, menu icons, previews, even kirby hats, if possible, and more I'm sure I'm unaware of.

Basically, I hope we can provide everything needed to put a character into a build with every feature working 100%, so that it feels like the character has always been in the game.

Thanks so much! I'll appreciate any advice and help!

Is this for brawl or pm? Also do you want/need links for the brawl vault downloads?

I too would love to see really high-quality characters having their relevant resources combined to make for easy insertion into vanilla Brawl.

My issue is that there's so many 'hack packs' where textures don't even look right, and flooded with too many jank characters that it feels like a Wii version of mugen, with all the quality control it implies.

I mean, I can't even hardly find any info on how to add Kirby hats for inserted characters when I know they exist, which is the biggest obstacle to my adding, well, anyone at all.

And if it becomes necessary, I can make modeled franchise icons for the results screen, just for that added layer of 'authenticity'.

Counting the

I have about six characters that fall under the category of completion, though only three of them are balanced and can dash-dance.

Either I suppose, though preferably Project M. This would most likely be for casual play, but the better the balance the more it can be used for competitive as well. I suppose if any characters don't fit in as well, a tier list could always form naturally anyways.

Links would be great, and thanks for the reply! ^.^

Thanks for the reply! I'm sadly not an expert, and stuff like Kirby hats really trips me up too. I'm hoping if enough people work together we can figure that stuff out. I know it's hard for everyone to focus on one project; it might be best to find a build with stages and a few characters and go from there so we have a starting foundation.

Thanks! Also, by double post do you mean making a post per reply instead of replying all in one?

double post is when you post twice in a row, if there isn't someone "in between your posts" at least that is what I got out of it
