Hey guys im a former marth main who kind of unsure who he should main next. I really like an aggressive play style. I know the spacies are really rush down but are there any other characters that are equally as aggressive or can apply a lot of shield pressure like fox and falco? please list all the characters and why you think so.

Lucas is exactly what you seem to be looking for. His shield pressure and pressure in general is absolutely insane. The only problem is the fact that he's basically the most tech-heavy character in the game, but if you can get that down you'll be all over people. I don't think there are any other characters who fit what you want as well as him, so unless you can't hit buttons really fast, he's gonna be your best choice.

Lucas combines tech from spacies and Ness/M2 with jump cancelled psi magnet and double-jump cancelled aerials which allow for very fast, strong combos but require a lot of pressing buttons.

Well if your interested in spacies + aggressive play style, I'd say give Wolf a try. :wolf:

Lucario might not be a bad choice either. He certainly has shield pressure, and his approaches when he has a charge are scary. Admittedly he has a hard time getting in if you end up in neutral without a charge though.

Wolf is the true brute of the game. Doesn't give a single **** about what you do, as long as he double-shines -> dash attack -> dairs you to death.

Lucas is pretty scary too.

Does nobody still believe in the balls-to-the-wall simplicity that is Sheik..?
Sheik's aggressive if you can get in, but otherwise it's not a very good idea to rush into your opponent.

I'd like to say Roy, since that's generally what he does best especially being a heavy combo character.

If I may throw my own lot in. I would have to say Sonic can be a rather aggressive character depending on your own style and creativity.

To elaborate, as an aggressive Sonic player your goal is to never allow the enemy to breathe. To constantly switch between spin-dashes, blast attacks, and of course the very useful jump canceled grabs. You don't carry a great deal of power but your moves are fast, link into each other well, an cause efficient shield pressure. An with Sonic's speed you can literally overwhelm the opponent long before they get a chance to stable themselves.

Yet that's just my take on it, nothings better than field experience. So pick up Sonic and give it a shot see how you like it.

usually if you have a really fast character that's "good at aggression" they're actually better at defensive movement-based camping so they end up not being aggressive characters at top level play. donkey kong for example moves a LOT yet is not what i would call an aggressive character.

applying safe shield pressure with very few holes in it is far from what I would call "aggression" as well

it depends how you classify a fast character. characters like fox falcon metaknight etc i would absolutely agree with you, but characters like marth/roy lucas sonic i think it's much better to go in. it kinda just depends.

Do not do lucario. Rush down/aggro characters have good approach options amount other things, lucario has very limited options as far as approaching goes.

pikachu is a pretty aggressive hit and run/combotastic character. QAC can be used to apply pressure and move in and out of your opponent's zone extremely fast. combine it with fast areals like uair, nair and fair or just WD and follow up with more QA, tilt or a dashdance.
