I don't know if this has been found out before and if so I won't take credit, but it is something pretty cool and if I'm the first person to find it I think its pretty awesome.

Ok now that that's done. It can't be applied to battle, but it is technically the longest moonwalk in the game. First, you start dash-dancing and keep doing it until Nana gets confused. Now stop the dash-dance once Nana starts running forward (not when she turns around). After you stop the dash-dance start wavedashing away from Nana. once you get to the edge stop and you should see Nana in a run animation forward, but she is moving backwards. I've done it many times and have tried attacking with Nana, but you can't.

Once again if this has been mentioned before sorry for reposting it, but I searched and found nothing using search.

Yeah, it's been found before, but i can't find any real relevance for it other than as a mind game. there is a shorter version of her moon walk which can be used to charge a smash though

Whatever, I just think it's cool that this is the longest moonwalk possible in the game. I think Captain Falcon should be put down to #2 on the moonwalking chart and Ice Climbers should be #1.

Captain falcon is way to badass to be #2 to the ICs

This isn't really a moonwalk. The Ice Climber's moonwalk is worse than Peach's x_x.

What happens is that Nana is removed from Popo's 'leash' - the area where you can give her commands. When she leaves it, she either acts on her own, or runs/gets dragged back into the leash. From what you're saying is that she's still running forward while getting dragged back. Silly Nana.

I've never seen your example before, but here is another weird thing that can sometimes happen when Nana breaks out -

If you grab, d-throw, then run forward and dash attack with Nana. If you throw the dash attack out late enough to hit the opponent and break out of the leash, Nana will sometimes turn back around and repeatedly dash attack, meanwhile bouncing off the leash's boundary. So she'll run forward (back towards Popo) then get bounced back away in the middle of the dash attack, while facing the same direction. It's really weird. Also, the dash attack will pop fast fallers right back into your hands (if done correctly). In theory, this is a possible CG, but it's incredibly unreliable.

I know Delphiki, but technically moving backwards (by any means) while looking liking your running forward is a moonwalk. I did say that there are no uses to it because you can't attack while she's getting dragged back, but it is something fun to play around with. Also, I'm pretty sure this is the only way of showing Popo's 'leash' dragging Nana back at huge distances.

I need to try this on temple and see what happens if I jump off an edge. I wonder if Nana will still have the running animation in the air. If she does I think I have to name it the Nana Airwalk. lol nevermind she just jumps off the edge when she gets to it.

yeah but really it still doesnt count as a moonwalk cause it isnt both of them right? Besides the longest moonwalk isnt really very usefull at all.
