Monitor has a response time of 5 ms- is this good enough for practicing Melee?

I don't currently have a good CRT set up, so I'm considering practicing on my PC. I can run Melee at 60 FPS no sweat, but I'm worried the input lag on my HD LCD monitor will screw me up. Based on a review I found of the monitor, it has about 5 ms of input lag. Is this a big enough deal to make me goof up tech skill when I start playing on CRTs again?

Response time has nothing to do with lag. It's how fast a pixel can change from black to white to black. Display lag is how long it takes before it can start changing a pixel's color (I think)

Check if your monitor is listed on this database http://www.displaylag.com/display-database/ or try searching google to see if you can find someone else who lag tested it

HDTV and monitor manufacturers don't advertise display lags for some reason

Dumb question- I have this http://i.imgur.com/jj17u9s.jpg monitor. It's older and looks a bit different from my HD monitor. Would it be better or worse for Melee based on looks? I can supply you with the model number and stuff.
That looks too old to be a gaming monitor, or even something that anyone has lag tested. You could try playing on both and feel for which one might have more lag. Your best solution for playing with low lag right now is getting a CRT monitor at a thrift store
