I'm a college student. Which is the same thing as saying I am poor with a lot of free time. Somehow, the job market expects me to get experience for a job but ALL jobs require it. I tried to get at a copying store that was hard-up for people. Literally, ALL they had was 3 people working during a busy shift. I applied. I did the callback. ****ING NOTHING! They said I lacked graphical design experience. This was while I had a ****ing client I was working with on her graphic design stuff. Thanks *******s.
So, enraged, annoyed, and rejected, I took a job at school. It's pretty good wages, light work, I get to mess with people, cool. But I am graduating within the next 2 years and then going to music school... in Los Angeles. I want to actually do SOMETHING with my degree, but English is limited in what you actually can do with it. So, I turned to the dark side: Online Methods.
Check my signature, I already am whoring myself out for one (if I make money, I'll be whoring myself out more). But is it really so bad? The internet has an infinite wealth of resources and honestly, I just want to work at home. This scenario would create an awesome environment in California, but it seems every opportunity I research is a ****ing dead-end scam. I look to reading manuscripts for reviews/editing and I am met with the same thing - "Must have 2/3/5 years experience with editing." Editing isn't the easiest thing to get into, as I've learned, degree or not. I am really getting tempted to switch to Business for the sake of having a job.
Well, I can say the site in my sig, isn't THAT bad. If you do none of the offers through the site (I did 37ish) you can still make about $48 a month just doing daily surveys. I checked with the Better Business Bureau and they said it's all legit. I am still within my first month, and it's not so bad. Plus, people you refer net you money and as the site grows you get more money as well. (anyone interested with questions, just ask me, I'm still new to it and weary that I will get paid, but I do the offers on my own downtime anyway, so no loss). I guess this will be my supplemental for now until I can find a decent job of sorts.
I really hate when I am uncertain. This is why I haven't been as active lately. Between hoping to find money for an apartment locally before I move across the country, running out of time to get good enough to GO to where I want to go, I feel quite burnt out and depressed when I get home. So, I forgot the point of all this...
I guess post your ways of coming up with quick cash, any experiences with online money schemes, scams, or legit businesses (I am filing Cashcrate as a scheme until it officially pays me), really anything like that. I'm interested in knowing if I am really alone here.
