Momentum capture in Balanced Brawl?

Hello. We (that is, my friend and I) have been bouncing back and forth between Balanced Brawl and Brawl Plus and are quite torn as to which mod to use. Generally, we prefer the balancing act done in Balanced Brawl between the characters, but one thing that Brawl Plus definitely has that we prefer is momentum capture. I can't for the life of me figure out why they took it out of vanilla Brawl to begin with.

Is there a way to get momentum capture in Balanced Brawl? This one change would definitely make the mod much better, although it is quite good already. While we like the speed of Brawl+, we'd like to try BBrawl with some momentum capture and see how that works.
