I have the R4 for my DS so whenever a game comes out that I want, I simply download it. The good thing about the R4 is that if some games come out in Japan but have an english translation, you can download it and switch to the english translation and beat the game before it's released in NA. That's what I did with the phoenix wright trials and tributations game, it was released in japan early and had an early version loaded onto the game so i switched to that version and beat the game before it was released in NA.
And I remember that my cousin once had this game for the gba which had like 1,000 games on it. But most of them were crap anyways.
