MiscData Problem... Desperate!!!

K, so my MiscData(80) file is sooooooo far from f***ed up it'#$(Q@(!*%)#*&%$&@&^%(*^(a0937$" and alot of other random crap, whereas the others don't have any title at all... All I did was use Brawl Stage Manager to replace the image files of Rainbow Cruise to the Tower of the Wing Cap stage and all of its files (except for an audio file) and then it just freeses at the character select screen with the loud ringing noise (Beep of Death or whatever). Now Brawl doesn't load with my mods (put ALOT of work into the game, I'd love to keep my mods)... I'm in some serious need of help X.X

Oh and all stage icons and images are all black and white with either no name or a jumbled mess of randomness... Someone please help me T^T I really don't want to restart modding x.x

You have 3 question threads on the front page. Maybe you should consider putting your questions in one thread, and also typing like a sane person.

Anyway, use a backup of the MiscData you had before you replaced the stages, and then put the images in manually. That's what I did when it happened and it worked fine. If you don't have a backup, take the miscdata80 from a default common5 file and then manually place whatever into there.

Maybe the problem is with the common_5 file... Too much icons?

That's like, 50 some odd freakin files, bro... I have no backup, haven't made one yet. And when u say "sane person" the random jumbled mess is what the files are named in MiscData 80... I'm so pissed

Oh and apparently MiscData 90 just doesn't exist and is replaced by a white file icon with a question mark on it and five random numbers (one in parentheses)

I've got no clue what the issue you're having is, but I manually replaced the stage icons when my stage manager messed it up and made my game crash at the stage select screen. Since you didn't make a backup before saving the changes, you may have to do what I said and just put the images for the stages in one by one over whichever stages you replaced. Also make sure you don't have the common5 open in brawl box when saving in stage manager.

K, sorry... and I did have Brawl Box open when I saved in Stage Manager... v.v and like I said... that's wayyyyy over 50 some odd files.... I'd sooner completely give up in moddiing smash than do that again

I'd much rather find a way to completely replace just the singular MiscData (80) file... that's all I want

Okay, several things wrong with your statement:

1: I'm completely new to this... this is my fifth day hacking this game, so 50 files is a lot to me

2: There's a good 50 files in each folder. There's a good 10 folders, and theres another good 10 folders containing those 10 folders...

3: Trying to figure this out alone, and with nowhere on the internet (literally nowhere...) is there a tutorial for this kind of thing... I ended up getting shaky, frustrated, and on the verge of tears after five hours of trying and failing to find something somewhere, or figure it out alone... I'm tired of this...

4: All I want is a Project M MiscData 80 and 90 for me to replace the ones that are ****ed up (I have them, I just don't know how to replace THE "MiscData (80)" and THE "MiscData (90)" files IN the "Common5.pac" file... that's all I want

Well most of it's fixed now, except I need to know how to rename a BRRES file within BrawlBox so it can have the number 90 instead of 0... know how to do that
