Marth. Good ol' Marth. Nintendo KNEW Melee was the way to advertise Fire Emblem. They knew. And many people didn't even know at first. Same with Roy, but that's another story. He also just seemed awesome. Not better than Roy (character-wise) but still! Technically, his first WORLDWIDE appearance was Melee.
