What are the minim computer requirements if you want to play Melee Netplay? Playing with around a consistent 30 FPS would be acceptable to me. I'm not very good with computers so I'm not exactly sure what my exact specs are. Or really what's needed. Just give me a rough outline of what kind of graphics card might be needed and such. Whatever you guys might think I would need to know. I just want to know whether my computer can handle SSBM.

Emulation is much different than pc gaming. While pc gaming might require a high end graphics card, emulation requires a fast processor. You can find your model of processor (assuming you're on windows) by going to my computer->system properties (or just search system properties if on win8) post exactly what it says for processor.

Intel (R) Pentium (R) CPU B940 @ 2.00GHz 2.00GHz.

Do with this what you will. Fingers crossed it's good enough.

Your processor is very old and weak but I mean if you only care about having 30 fps then you should be able to do that at least. My recommendation is to try it out and see what it's like, you will probably do a bit better than 30. If you use the latest developer version that performance will be even better, but if you want to Netplay that you're going to have to port forward and make sure your opponent has the same dolphin revision.

30 fps in Dolphin isn't like in pc games. 30 fps is half game speed, not choppy game play.

i5-2500k if you buy used (~100$)or i5-4690 / 4690K if you want to buy new. Those are the best CPU options for Dolphin as far as I know. Notebook CPUs don’t cut it.

AMD’s FX-8350 has somewhat mixed reviews for Dolphin. Some report it works fine for Melee with 60 fps and good settings, but its single thread power is rather low so it can never live up to the intels for Dolphin.

Graphics card doesn’t matter much. 7750 / 250 / 260 by AMD are strong enough. I personally use 2500k and an old 6870 and everything’s fine in Dolphin, I don’t do Netplay though.

The best bundle for Dolphin is the pentium g3258 + z97 motherboard because it is haswell (4th gen, very fast single thread) and can overclock ridiculously well (when overclocked it is comparable to best cpu in Dolphin.

In addition to that the CPU is a steal, 60 bucks, will blow the 2500k out of the water for Dolphin.
