Apparently there's more that goes in to what %s a character dies at than their weight, position, and what attack they're hit with. This data is very different in some places than what Aerodrome's weight chart suggests, and apparently that has to do with other aerodynamic qualities of the character.

Either way, I needed a real, effective chart that showed me relative kill resistance of characters to help me judge when to use finishers. After hours of mining, I thought I'd share it with you all in hopes it helps you, too.

My spreadsheet, so you can hopefully see my methods and where some of the inconsistencies and confirmation biases are:

For the vertical ones I used sweetspot usmash from the ground level of battlefield on characters standing on the side platforms, which didn't take any math since Mario dies right at 100%. Convenient!

Enjoy!

From what I know, vertical survivability is generally affected by fall speed, and horizontal survivability by aerial acceleration (and possibly air speed). I'm uncertain if any momentum cancelling techniques help all too much in this game.

The amount of vertical knockback received, in Brawl anyway, was also affected by a character's gravity, which is how quickly they reach their max fall speed (NOT how quickly they fall at their max fall speed, I need to stress this). Characters with a higher gravity value suffered a greater amount of vertical knockback.

I've cleaned up this table and updated it with vertical proportions as well. Thanks everyone who provided me information about why it works this way!
