Miis are coming. That's right. In denial? Here's why you shouldn't be.

Right. There.

The New Franchise's character? Mii. See in the my music screen? This is a "DS Franchise"? NO. It's a Nintendo Franchise. See the "Wii Shop Channel" and "Mii Channel" Tracks don't appear on the DS, but on the Wii. And...

...the My Music tracks, from our previous pictures, don't mix franchises. So this
means Nintendo as a whole. I don't see an arguement against it. But there are arguements against Miis as a whole...

Supposed Arguement 1: They can't fight.

This is the most seen arguement for any character, really, and Miis are no different. But like others...

Didn't originally fight in their respective games. Anything can be given a moveset.

See?

Power: **
Speed: ****
Jump: ****
weight:**

Used mainly for beginners.

Move Set:

Basic Moves:
Tap A – Jab
AA – Swipe
AAA- Fist Slam
A> - Club (Hit with golf club)
A^ - Tennis swipe (Swipe Upward with tennis racket)
A down (Same time) – Foot Stomp

Aerial Moves
A – Spin
A> - Spin kick
Av – Drop ball (Mii drops Bowling Ball)
A^ - Uppercut

Special Moves:
B- Line Drive (Mii uses Baseball bat to swing)
B> - Boxer (Boxing Gloves are used to slide across the ground while punching)
Bv – Bowler (Mii throws Bowling ball to the ground)
B^ - Fly Catch (Mii uses Catcher’s mitt to “catch a fly ball”. He jumps high with mitt.)

Throws:
Throw Upward – Hole in One (Mii uses golf club to hit upward)
Throw forward – Toss (simple throw)
Throw Backward – Gutter ball (Mii rolls enemy backwards like a bowling ball)
Throw downward – Ground Toss (Simple downward throw)

Final smash: Mii Channel -Many more miis are summoned to the scene (possibly from your Mii channel) and play sports over the stage.

Supposed Arguement 2 - They don't represent a legitimate franchise.
Yeah that's not true. A legit franchise is...what? 2-3 Games?

They're also playable in Mario and Sonic at the Olympic games.

That's FIVE (with more adding cameos) games they're playable; more than the Ice Climbers AND Pit COMBINED. "Not a legit franchise" arguement moot.

Supposed Arguement 3 -

The Miis are seen as avatars for online play. But that should be taken with a grain of salt -- we don't even see the full roster here, so for all we know Mii the PC can be under the rows of Miis. Maybe you have to set the Mii to one Mii model, which would make it go either way.

Supposed Arguement 4 - "They Suck" "They'd Waste roster space"

Uhm, if Sakurai put it in the roster, I don't think Mii's would be a "waste" unless they were a clone, which isn't really possible.

And that's the end. Post here if you appreciate Miis and they're chances in Brawl :D

i hope your right because i would be ashamed if Elite Beat Agents didn't have their own symbol, it would feel like they weren't respected im guessing the Mii could be Dr. Kawashima. Also it can't be Dr. Lobe's symbol since they released one of his games on the wii.

as awesome as miis are, why didn't you post this in the official mii thread? oh well.

The Mii's will most likely show up, but as a playable character? I have my doubts.

there really isn't much point into implementing miis if they aren't playable. hell, if SEGA can implement them in M&S, I dont see why not smash.

I figured this topic was just proving Mii's chances. People wouldn't see it as much if it was an individual post and not a topic.

From your point of view. What's reasons surrounding the Mii's prove that they must be a playable character? Do they really seem like such a shoe in playable character to you?

No it doesn't represents Nintendo as a whole. It represents where Pictochat came from... The Nintendo DS. If you ever noticed, the same ****ed symbol is printed in every DS Lite.

The Mii symbol is this:

It does not in any way, shape or form leads the Mii being playable. If they are playable or not is a whole different story. But this confirms nothing.

FIRST OF ALL!!!

it makes sense they would use Wii music for the Pictochat stage. Why? There is no music in the pictochat channel or the DS menus.

And second of all...

You picked characters who CAN fight.

Ice Climbers did fight in their games. Thats what the hammers were for, well, that and breaking floors.

And in a secret multiplayer mode of Starfox 64 Fox had his blaster.

So this thread = fail.

I'm not really saying they're a shoe-in (no character is a shoe-in, honestly.) theres just no reason NOT to put in miis. first off, they're extremely popular, being as the top 2 selling games for wii are wii sports and wii play. second, there isn't really anything stopping miis from being playable(lol, redundace). sure, if this was mortal-freakin'-kombat or street fighter, they obviously wont be playable. however, this is smash bros. we're talking about here. smabura has no particular style. anything, no matter how out-of-place it is, can be in, as long as they're from video games. and if they are playable in M&S@tOG, then hell, they sure as hell have no reason not to be playable in brawl. just putting them in as anything else is a waste. its not like they're that hard to make a moveset for anyway.

There are still characters who don't usually fight in brawl. There's Game and Watch. He had mini-games IIRC. According to some people, Shiek didn't fight either. There are a whole plethora of characters that didn't fight before Melee. As for the music, they could have used music from other games! They could have used music from ANYWHERE! But they chose the Wii!

And yeah that makes this thread FAIL. Totally.

I agree... The whole "why not?" argument here makes a lot of sense.

The Mii represents all of the casual games on the Wii and the system as a whole.

They should be in in some form.

Also, there is one famous character we all know who didn't fight before smash, Captain Falcon. The Mii's would be a very versatile character and would easily be an original character, which could possibly be taken up by a clone. People wished for customizable, and this would be the best way to incorporate it into a way that makes sense. Plus, the DS does not JUST have to be the DS, it just represents Nintendo's new line of innovation.

Where else would they have taken the music from? The DS and the Wii go hand in hand (sorta) in this gen, the DS has no menu music... where else to go? The Wii! I see perfect sense in that.

And then why the hell did you use Ice Climbers and Fox as there are so many characters you could've picked instead... seriously, Zelda is GLARING at you and you picked Ice Climbers and Fox? The fact that ANY character can fight is not something I argue about... but when you pick the IC and Fox it just makes me believe you picked the first 2 characters you saw that you *thought* hadn't fought before Smash and just got it over with instead of doing a *little* bit of research.

So that's why this thread = fail.
