Before I continue, I feel a slight introduction is in order. My name is Sion and I'm pretty new to the whole Smash scene though I did play melee casually and now looking to get into 4 a bit more seriously later. I have the 3DS version but the control scheme messes me up badly so waiting until I get the Wii U version and see where it goes from there.

I was a lurker at first, I watched the boards and when it seemed like I wasn't going to get eaten alive and the community seemed friendly enough decided to get my feet wet.

That said, I've been really fascinated by the team meta. Such as 2v2 and recently saw some 4v4 and 3v3 matches. Unfortunately, the later are new as well as hard to set up so there isn't a lot of them. However, I was hoping maybe someone would be kind enough to point me in the direction where I could see more 3v3's. The only ones I've seen are from VGB boot camp and a tournament from a channel called EMG Vods. It was this particular set that won my heart over for 3v3.

They're very hard to find so if anyone knows anymore please let me know. I would look on Twitch but I'm kinda stupid when it comes to the search function there.

Yeah. I found out the hard way, it sucks but it is what it is. Maybe teams will get a bit more popular later but I doubt it and won't lose sleep over it. It seems to be a common theme for me to like formats that aren't as big as the main ones. Back when I was playing Pokemon, the standard format was mainly 1v1 and 2v2. Then 3v3 was introduced along with Rotations were introduced late to 5th gen. Suffice to say, neither formats are super popular but they have the advantage of being able to play online at least which this doesn't.

The only 4v4 I've seen has been KTAR. I enjoyed it but I imagine that would be even harder to find simply due to logistics issues. I actually found it through this board on a google search when Smashboards was discussing things about the new feature of having up to eight players.
