Woah. Guys, start voting! Something hosted by McDonald's is sure to have a huge turn out, and they do have Smash. I just voted 5 times and am still doing so. You can vote more than once per email. Chicago just moved up a spot. Help out and bring MGC to Chicago!

wow. you are right you can vote multiple times per email.

Considering your 5 votes moved it up a spot i can assume the following:

Not many people know abouit this yet and they are taking location votes from a few people's votes. This means that if chicago area wakes up now we can get a jump start at the compitition and get it so they select chicago.

Well, thanks to Mars' PM, I voted with all of my e-mail addresses. So that's 4 votes from me.

Hopefully everyone else he PMed will vote as well.

Chicago moved up to #7. Guess my votes may have helped. We've still got a pretty good chance if 4 votes can make that big of a difference.

The tournament uses HD tv's. They have about a half a second lag and it makes it so that its pretty hard to pull off any kind of tech. Wavedashing is about all that is still easy to do. Shffl'ing, chain grabbing, even sweet spoting the edge becomes unreliable.
Considering chicago will result in one of the last to have a tourny, im sure MGC will figure out that this is a problem and fix it.

lmao...that's hilarious.

HD TVs aren't that bad. I've played on them before and while the difference is noticable, you get used to it pretty quickly.

MGC has heard the concerns, for legal reasons they can't change the tournament format until the tour schedule is complete, but they will have this issue addressed for the finals!
So if you guys do get this up an running, you'll have to deal with the laggy tvs...the winners get a free ticket/hotel room for their big tourney in dallas on oct 6, which should have good tvs.

So yeah, I think I'm going to spend an hour tomorrow after work setting up some e-mail accounts and voting for Chicago. Hopefully that'll bump it up to first place. If not, I cry.
