Microphone Frequency Response

Ok so basically, I'm after a headset that has a really good quality microphone because I'm not picky with sound quality at all. Any ideas?

And yeah, what does microphone frequency response actually mean? Would you want the numbers to be higher or lower? I looked at some headsets at the shops, I remember seeing one with 100Hz - 8kHz, is that good?
