Micro SD issue

Hello, before I decided to post this I had a look at every smashboards thread relating to Micro SD card issues and could not find a solution that worked. When I choose stage builder, it loads for a bit and then just shows the normal stage builder screen. My micro sd is 2 gigs, it is formatted to FAT32, there is nothing else on it except project m folders, I have no custom stages. I also tried defragging it to no avail. So I ask: is there any possible solution to this? I have seen so many posts that micro sd cards work for different people so I do not understand why I am having this problem. Is it my micro sd card or adapter brand? The brand I am using is a Patriot Memory Micro SD Adapter and a Patriot Micro SD card 2.0 gb. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated. Thank you.

First make sure you have downloaded the hackless set from the website. Reformat once again to fat32 and paste a new copy of PM to the root of your SD.

If nothing happens still then check to see if the SD card is locked (small switch on the side). If not then look into buying a new one as it's probably defective.
