Smash Demon
Prior to trying to convert a replay to video, I didn’t even realize the Nintendo Switch had a slot for the Micro SD card. I already lost one replay because of this where I as Pikachu dash attacked a Zelda into throwing a Beastball which launched the Zelda into a Launch Star which launched her into a Bomber that was set to explode at the right time to completely annihilate her. That was back when online matchmaking was screwed up. I was put in a lot of matches I didn’t want to be in, but it was still cool enough to save a replay of it. I couldn’t convert it to video because I lacked a Micro SD card and ultimately lost it. I don’t want to lose footage another epic moment when an update comes out, so I plan to buy a Micro SD card with a Target gift card I got from an early family Christmas. That brings me to the reason why I made this thread.
By the way, I did a quick scan of the forum categories and couldn’t find a better place to put this thread. Moderators, if I’m placing this in the wrong place, free to move it to where it’s supposed to be. This is literally the only place I can see this type of topic going in.
As a person who mostly plays Smash Ultimate but still enjoys other games such as Breath of the Wild and Mario Odyssey, I want to know what an optimal storage size would be for a Micro SD card for my Switch.
- Is there a minimum size requirement for saving replays?
- Could data from my games including Smash Ultimate be put on the Micro SD card?
- Are there preformance benefits in choosing a size bigger than what is required?
I’m just looking for recommendations on what I should buy.
