Hi! My irl name is Alberto, but online I go as GoldenEmp. I'm 21 and I live in Mexico City, Distrito Federal.

I've been reading Smashboards for about 6 months now, looking for ways to improve my game, but I don't have a lot of experience. I would also really like to join the competitive scene. I've played Melee, Brawl, and 3DS/WiiU (I don't have a WiiU atm, but I'm interested in purchasing one soon, just for Smash). I've only played 64 about 3 or 4 times, so I have zero experience with it.

Melee: I just started learning Melee competitively around 2 months ago, but I'm not very good at it, as I'm a horrible tech player. I used to play a lot around 2005, but I was 11 yo back then. I like to use Fox and Marth.

Brawl: This is the one I've played the most, as a lot of my friends had it when it came out, and I could play entire weekends non-stop with my brother. I just picked the game up again, and I don't seem to be that bad. I main Wolf, and like to use Falco, Meta Knight, Pokemon Trainer, Link, and Toon Link.

Smash4: This is the game that got me into Smash again. I purchased the 3DS version just when it came out, and I find it very enjoyable. Some friends have a WiiU, so I have a little experience in home-console. BTW, this is the game I'm most interested in playing competitively. I main Charizard, and Fox, with Pit, Black Pit, and Shulk as secondaries.

I would like to find people from around here to play Smash4 with, regular training partners, and tips on how to get into the community and tournament scene.

IRL, I study Finances in college, and also I'm a competitive Pokemon Videogame player, having played for more than 7 years. My favorite Pokemon is Empoleon (hence my nick). I also play guitar, but I haven't practiced seriously for a couple of years.

I'm looking forward to the Smashboards experience;

See you around!

I'm starting to upload some Charizard videos on my youtube if you're interested; since I play the zard a bit myself. From the forum directory you can find loads of different tournaments for the competitive scene. You can even chat it up to meet with people in your area. Coolbeans right?

Welcome to the Boards~!

Hey, welcome to the Smashboards, bro.

I also joined the boards like around one month ago, but I used to visit the forums years ago.
I'm from Mexico City and I'm 19, I'm also searching for training partners, the most effective way to improve my game as it should. So if you're interested...

Oh, I played Melee at a competitive level (actually, very low level XD) since I was 9 until 14 or so. I didn't like Brawl that much, so I abandoned the game pretty early, as soon as I completed the 100% of it. The game that brought back my love to Smash was the new one, I have both versions, but I don't play the 3DS one since my Shoulder Buttons (L/R) don't work properly, so if you wanna play once you have the Wii U version, we can practice together.

I find funny that you also play guitar XD.

...Oh, and sorry for my english D:
