Mewtwo, Roy, and Dr.Mario SFX and voices

I recently started texture hacking pm and so when I booted pm up, Dr.Mario's Pill sounds, and Mewtwo/Roy's everything were not what they're supposed to be. Dr.M's Pill sounds were making coin noises and Mewtwo/Roy were making sounds that I think some bosses make or something? I'm not sure, but I'm pretty sure Roy doesn't roar when he swings his sword. I haven't touched anything outside /fighter/ and I can't find anything on google about this. halp.

What did you change?
Does the problem exist on your backups?
Is the pf/sfx file complete?

no idea. I just changed the .pcs and .pac files. I've yet to venture outside of /fighter/. and no backups.

No backup means your last backup is the official download.

Is the sfx folder complete?

I really didn't "change" anything, other than occasionally replacing some of the .pcs and .pacs for some characters. The sfx folder is empty.

if the sfx folder is empty, then that's your problem.
Also, make sure not to replace or mess with any "FitChar.pac" or "FitCharMotion.pac"

Is there any way to "un-empty" it? It won't let me copy paste files. Should I re-install it fresh?

the SD card isnt locked, right?

Never mind, I found a solution I guess. I wiped /sfx/ off the card, ejected it then put it back in, copy, paste, test, and shazam I guess. So, that was a hardware issue, but I am curious as to what started it in the first place.
