Okay, so I have gotten pillaring down now. However I realized that there is potentially a better way to pressure the shield (unless I'm wrong, in which case somebody tell me).

Is it better to multishine using buttons and B (I can only do two in a row so far with this), and in which case is it better to move thumb quickly between X and B, or to hit B with thumb and Y with index.

Or is it better to use analog for jumping since you already need it for shine and thumb on B button?

I use Y and B.

But everyone has their own preferences.

Figure out what is most comfortable with you and just practice.

I can do three sometimes with the analog stick. I think the best way for some reason is moving thumb quickly between X and B, possibly because I can regulate a routine easier that way. I can easily see myself doing an infinite number of multishines using that method. However index on Y and thumb on B seems more practical, but haveing my index in that position feels so unnatural.

I do down-up-down on the control stick. I can't do Y-B because I do that for Fox multishines and SHDL and various other techs that require you to jump and hit B really fast (like Y.Link pulling up bombs on the ledge xD). So I'm trained to do that one as fast as I can lol.

But yeah, just do what feels most natural. I can't do X-B at all but some people use that and do it really well. Controls are up to the player lol, I read somewhere that Mango doesn't even use the C-stick most of the time xD

Wow really? I can only do fox shdl with analog stick. I can't get thumb from x (yes I jump with x not y lol)to b quick enough to get the 2nd laser out. I practiced shine jc into short hop double lasers for awhile with analog, it's just too easy that way.

def preference. i use x to b... i can do like 3 or 4 but thats just to show off after i kill someone lol. i think you'll most likely hit them with the second one if youre gonna do it to press the shield
