Meteor Cancelling

Is the meteor cancel window the same as Brawl or was it reverted to Melee's?

It's neither. It's 16 frames for all characters (Melee is 8, Brawl varies by character).

Does that mean that you have 16 frames to do the cancel? Or you can't do the cancel until 16 frames is up

You can't cancel until 16 frames have passed.

If you try to cancel before 16 frames, you can't cancel at all until the hitstun runs out.

You can however attempt the up B cancel at any time. It won't come out for 16 frames, but there's no penalty to attempting it early,
