I'm stressed for time right now otherwise I'd search to see if someone else saw this. In this video, at 0:58 seconds in, what does Meta Knight do? I don't have any media software so I can't go through it frame-by-frame, but he moves backwards without changing direction.

Sorry if this has been posted before.

Actually, I read in an article that I can't seem to find anymore, that wave dashing is out, but metaknight has a 'wave-dashing-like attack".

I like watching speculation, as well as speculating myself.

But come on, people have PLAYED THE GAME and HAVE TRIED TO WAVEDASH. At this point, analyzing videos isn't going to give us some powerful insight to a secret manuever. If wavedashing was presently in the game, everyone would know about it.

Umm... if people tried to wavedash, how come they gave no explanation as to what happened when they did?

I challenge you to link me to more than 1 source that says they have tried wavedashing and tells us the results.

I'm hoping wavedashing is out. I guess because I've never used it and I like the style of playing without it. It would give me more of a chance against better players, also.

Then you'll have to be ultra good because even if it is out, people will be looking for more techs and new exploits to use at their advantage.

Being a good little conformist
We don't know about wavedashing yet because nobody who's played the demos yet really knows how to wavedash consistently in Melee, and so can't tell whether or not the technique is in Brawl (if nothing else, this tells us that people who can't wavedash in Melee can't do so in Brawl--with the Wii Remote, at that).

Since this thread is already at the issue of "wavedash or no," I encourage you all to use one of the other threads about that topic rather than split discussion everywhere.
