You know about the stages that have a choice between Counterpick and Banned depending on the tournament. I think something like that needs to happen to Meta-Knight.

Meh, I'd prefer Meta Knight to be alive and well and a viable tourney character. But I'd agree with the "all or nothing" clause. We have enough threads on this. You could of mentioned this in the thread @ general brawl discussion.
And a soft ban really wouldn't work. Telling someone they can only certain things is like telling someone they can fight, but they can use their arms, and they cant hit below the belt. Its either all or nothing.
Well it's always up to the TO, so there will probably always be tournaments that allow MK.Meh, I'd prefer Meta Knight to be alive and well and a viable tourney character. But I'd agree with the "all or nothing" clause.
At the very least tournament directors could coordinate tournaments so that some are MK-banned while others allow MK? Eh who knows...
Very true. Hopefully there will be enough TOs who will allow MK. I'd be more worried about the competitors. What if, theoretically, all MK mains stick to the MK tournaments, while everyone else goes to the no MK tourneys? That would be weird...Well it's always up to the TO, so there will probably always be tournaments that allow MK.
That's the main reason I hope they don't ban him. Also the fact that it's unwarranted IMO at this stage in the metagame.Very true. Hopefully there will be enough TOs who will allow MK. We have been saying that for the past 4 months. That's the main reason I hope they don't ban him. Also the fact that it's unwarranted IMO at this stage in the metagame.
Lol guys that's not what a soft ban means...that "semi-ban" phrase that the OP used would be more appropriate...We have enough threads on this. You could of mentioned this in the thread @ general brawl discussion.

That's from the official thread. So.... there you go. That may have already happened, but, whatever.Once banning MK becomes an actual possibility, we'll issue a warning to the boards (so MK mains will have time to see it coming) and we'll begin serious discussion, debate, and analysis of the metagame.
Do you want to know WHY that's happening? Well, I'm going to tell you anyway.i was on that side thinking we needed more time. "more time" was here and its gone, and things have only gotten worse. Ex. Everyone though G&W was a good MK fighter, including me. Then Hylian proves that it isnt even close. Snake and Lucario got ruled out too. The best one it seems right now is Falco, but he gets OWNT off stage. On the stage though I can honestly say it is even, thanks to falco's CG. Yoshi's grab release is interesting too.
I stopped reading there. Seriously?it feels unjust to bann meta knight seeing how melee fox is 10x stronger
this is my suggestion
In the tourneys theres 2 sections
Regular Tourney except meta knight is banned
Meta knight only tourney
On the contrary, I think it is driving them even more to find ways to keep up with mk.Do you want to know WHY that's happening? Well, I'm going to tell you anyway.
It's because people who main MK are actually trying to improve THEIR metagame so that they can be better against other characters.
Other characters are just getting frustrated and stop trying. That's the difference.
Show me what they've come up with. I have a feeling MK players have found more way then the rest of them.On the contrary, I think it is driving them even more to find ways to keep up with mk.
