Melee's intro linked to SE?

Yes, I will not deny for a second that this theory is off-the-wall. But given our recent delay...*Sobs*...people (apparently including me will be posting stranger & stranger threads. So speculate away, is Melee's intro linked to SE?

The way the intro made the game seem so...developed. Of course, it wasn't. But SE is...

If you mean the beginning where the Mario trophy is put into a colloseum, comes to life, and fights Link, then yes they are "linked".
The idea behind Smash has always been that they are trophies (or toys) brought to life to fight. SSE just incorporates that idea into a story.

Other than that I dont see any way they are linked.

They didnt really show anything linked, altough it was pretty cool. Maybe the Arwings shooting at Kirby?

The story mode in Brawl. I think the general idea came from the trophies in the beginning falling and then coming to life. The similarity to the beginning of SSE is uncanny.

well, it could be possible that Brawl made that thing similar to melee as some sort of tribute you know?

It's also possible that they had wanted to do SSE for Melee but were too lazy or inept. I love the opening movie for Melee - it makes the game look so much better than it is. Especially the part with Fox and Samus working together.

at the begining of melee me and my brother poped it in and we watched the movie and it came to the part where dk is running through the jungle and me and my brother looked at each other and said brawl took that straight from here
