Could be pretty cool.
I've had no problem with the Wii accessory (like the TvC stick or Classic Controller) to USB thing from Mayflash.

this adapter would be pretty awesome if it can work with sm4sh. id have to test the game out with the pad or wiiUpro controller first though. still, very clever.

I've stopped depending on the GameCube controller to last forever a long time ago (I use the Nunchuk controls all the time) but this is a REALLY nice gadget and I know my friends and brother will totally flip out on this so I'm telling them this.

Now all we need is a GameCube controller to 3DS adapter. :troll:

Oh my god. YES! I want it. I'm going to order like 4 of them. Right now. (Watch Sm4sh come with one...very unlikely, but...yeah...)

I guess some people still can't consider switching to the Wii U Pro Controller; with the USB cable, it can act just like a wired controller, maintaining its charge at all times. But when you think it over, the position of the Control Sticks can be a burden to some.

Does this work with Wii games that could use the controller? IE: If I wanted to boot up P:M on the WiiU, I could use a gamecube controller?

P:M works with the wii classic controller, so yes, you could use a gamecube controller

Me too. And i'm not too worried about Smash 4 because we have the Wii U Pro controller to work worth. Awesome gadget though.

If you can't adapt to a new controller how are you gonna adapt to your opponent's playstyle? :awesome:

What's wrong with the WiiU Pro Controller? Sure, different stick placement, but you can get used to it.

I'm curious to see how the dev team addresses the different control schemes, but this may be interesting, assuming it isn't something ridiculous like $30 a pop.

Stick placement isn't half as bad (that's still a lot) as button placement when you've been practicing for 13 years.

Tried Project M with a CCP a while back, it was horrific.

i'm quite surprised that Nintendo actually haven't made an official adapter, playing wii games on Wii U without the gamecube controller, even if the package states the opposite, is actually pretty unprofessional.

ofc downloadable gc games are profitable instead of just adding gc disc/controller support, but i'll enjoy seeing enhanced versions, you know WW HD!! so that's all good, I'm just a little concerned about the shoulder buttons though not being analog (light/hard-shielding, f-zero gx slide-turns e.t.c)

I think it's just not profitable for Nintendo due to an actual small number considering GC's poor sales, so third parties are gonna step in instead, whatever, good stuff we at least have a converter, also just making a converter mapping around the button inputs isn't rocket science ;) but if melee is remade, i'll grab one

I'd LOVE to play Smash 4 with a gamecube controller rather than a Wii U Pro Controller. .-. I hate that the right/left analog sticks were moved up.

WOW!!! Never thought that could happen!
It was bound to happen. There are adapter for basically every controller and system imaginable.

Anyway, this looks like its just a GC to Classic Controller/Wiimot Extention adapter. Was almost positive one of those already existed.

The double thumb controller design is an ergonomic nightmare, anything that uses the thumb for precise movement is.

Other than the obvious criticism of the button layout, it has digital triggers and not analogue - so basically any techs related to shielding/dodging will not appear in Sm4sh. Aside from that, the triggers are small. They're simply just absolute sh*t.

Hopefully this sheds some light and information! :)

If the pro controller triggers are as bad as people say (dont have a WiiU yet) then this adapter is a must for smash.

Maybe there will be a 3rd party version of the controller with improved triggers, or like people have stated, a special controller made for SSB4.

Otherwise it seems once again they are just going to gravitate to the casual crowd and shielding/dodging tech will not be important. Hope I'm wrong.

how will big tournaments be held if the only controllers we can use are wireless? Even the GC adapter plugs into the wiimote, which is still wireless
