Smash Apprentice
Alright, I know Samurai Goroh was like the 2nd Assist Trophy confirmed, but for some reason this thought is just coming to me now. If Samurai Goroh was basically the big F-Zero request to go along with Captain Falcon, since Goroh is an assist trophy, does that mean Captain Falcon (assuming he's in) is destined to be the lone F-Zero representative for the Smash series? Perhaps we'll be surprised with some character completely unexpected such as Deathborn. Sure he's really only been a major character in one game (I think he only appeared in that one game, F-Zero GX), but you can't deny he looks pretty cool. Also, on answers.com it says:
"A device installed within his body allows him to travel freely through space, making it possible for him to mystically appear anywhere at any time. He banishes those he dislikes to the outer limits of space where they become drifting vagabonds for all eternity."
I can think of a couple special moves to come from that. Up B could be a teleport with more range than Zelda's, because the guy's huge and probably doesn't move well (although I don't know for sure). And the "Banishes those he dislikes" could be a Down B I suppose, either teleporting those that come close to him back a distance, and it could be controlled so they can be teleported either up or down, and not necessarily always straight back. There's also mention of a "sword looking weapon", which could be a Side B move.
I know some probably think Black Shadow or Blood Falcon may be in, but Blood Falcon is just too similar (in appearance) and I guess Deathborn banished Black Shadow at the end of GX. That may or may not be of significance to the Smash developers though, so one of those two could be another option. Maybe even Dr. Stewart or Jody Summer will be in, but I'd prefer a villain.
