Welcome to Sacramento's new Bi-Monthly tournament series! (Plans of tournaments during summer break tbd)
Hosted by Sacramento State's Smash Bros Club! My goal for this tournament is to be Sacramento's biggest tournament and attract players from outside the Sac region. We have pot bonuses and special side events such as singles stamina mode!

Unless you have a permit, PARKING IS NOT FREE. 6$ Day Permit required. These permits can be purchased in the parking garage. Alternatively you can pay by phone using:

Doubles Fee: $10 ($5 per person)
Special Side Event: Singles Stamina Mode Fee: $1
Venue Fee: $5 ($10 after May 11 at 11:59PM)

Registration Ends: May 13th Midnight!

First 10 people to bring full-setups (Wii U, GC adapter, and Monitor/TV) gets venue fee waived, first come, first served.

After 20 entrants, every 5 entrants adds $25 to singles pot!

Example: 25 entrants adds $25 to the pot, 30 entrants adds $50 total to the pot, and so on.

If 50 people were to enter, singles pot is $250. After adding pot bonus, it becomes $400!

----------RULES----------
Game version: US Nintendo Wii-U

● Stock and time are set to 2 stocks and 6 minutes. 3 stocks and 8 minutes for Doubles
● Items are set to off.
● Team Attack / Friendly Fire: ON
● Damage ratio is set to 1.0
● Custom Fighters & Custom Moves are set to off.
● Amiibos are not allowed.
● All DLC characters are allowed.
● Patch version 1.1.6 will be used.
● Mii Fighters are legal. Each setup will have 1111 Mii Brawlers/Swordsmen/Gunners available for use (Using Default A-F standard size Miis provided on console). No other specials for Mii Fighters will be allowed. Players are not allowed to transfer existing Miis to a setup.

○If Battlefield is banned, Dreamland & Miiverse in turn is banned as well. Both stages treated as one and the same. The same goes for Final Destination and Omegas.

●Stamina Mode Rules:
HP set at 150 and time set at 6 minutes.
Stage list same as singles.

Additional Rules
● Stage Striking: Players/team engage in a battle of Rock Paper Scissor best of 1. Winner strikes the first stage. Loser then strikes one of the remaining stages. Last stage Standing is where the Set begins.
● Stage Bans: During the stage ban phase, the player/team who won the previous game may ban 1 stage from either the Starter or Counterpick lists.
● During a 3/5 you are allowed one stage ban after you win a game. Your ban can change if you were to win another game.
● SD Clause: On the onset of a SD KO move initiated, the winner is decided by the results screen. In the case of Sudden Death the winner is the initiator of of the SD KO.
●In event of a timeout, the player/team with the most stocks & least percentage wins.
●Gentlemen: If people intentionally "Gentleman" to stages, set counts or anything that is outside the normal rules for that stage of the event, they will BOTH be disqualified.
● After each match: Winner announces stage ban (1)

●Coaching: Once per Set, You are aloud 30 Seconds of coaching. This time can also be used to collect your thoughts and/or read notes.
●Controllers: The use of Wii U gamepad banned.

I'm just curious, but why are Wii U gamepads banned? If you wanted to ban it for being a wireless controller, then you would've banned all wireless controllers. Why are just gamepads not allowed?

It could be to make sure people don't steal it or screw around with it.
