first i'm gonna apologise for the wierd title... i'm bad at stuff like that.

me and judofyr filmed a battle and i decided to put it on youtube... we are not that good so i'm posting this thread hoping that we can get tips on things like what do we do wrong, is there some techs we should use more, should start using, something we should do less, stopp doing and stuff like that. i would really like it if you would help us improve our playing... so please tell me what you think.

heres the link to it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iOF7gr0iB_M

I used to automatically airdodge after being hit because I computers kept doing it so I figured it must've been useful, but yeah...it kills me sometimes. I forced myself to stop a few days ago...feels good. I also had the habit of trying to l-cancel every move because I played melee for a while and had that habbit.

hi there

my friend was listening in the background and he told me he heard ~30 forward smashes.

this, using my math skillz, equates to one forward smash every 6 seconds. which is whole lotta f-smashes :x

also, do not roll as much. you can speed things up running

Rolling is predictable. Personally, spamming the f-smash is just one of many options. Yeah, you could of used some more fairs, uairs, and tilts. So what, you won.

Try playing a few matches without rolling ever. It'll be difficult at first and you'll have to mentally stop yourself, but you'll be a more efficient player if you roll less and air-dodge and sidestep more.

decent but good
lololololololololololololol

anyways, it wasn't bad by any means, but you should probably work on spacing and reducing risks, honestly the best way to do so is watching videos online and playing A LOT of computers.

it can be done, that's how i learned my diddy =D

...fighting computers are boring... they tend to not die even at 200%...
That shouldn't be the case for a Marth player. You'll eventually have to start taking risks and go for meteors/spikes(Marth's d-air). Also, with his f-tilt and f-smash you should be killing people at around 100%.
