Matchups, Fox and Falco

So I'm gathering information to provide a better commentairy

Let's talk about space animals, I was watching matches with Fox and Falco agaisnt some other characters and got a bit curious, is there any matchup where Falco has a better time than Fox? Fox just seems superior in every matchup in top 15 + Yoshi (I don't care about the other characters)

Also Captain falcon lives in space in his F-Zero game, is he considered a spacie but not a space animal?

Falco generally has a better time against Marth than Fox.

Also, l rather use Falco on BF, YS and FoD.

Fox is considered better in that matchup, actually. falco is pretty much even with samus.
zhu goes fox sometimes there.

fox is better against jiggs, peach, icies.
falco is better against marth and captain falcon(both wreck captain falcon).
falco and fox generally go even, and most people have their biases of who wins a bit more. imo, I prefer falco a bit more.
vs sheik, its also arguable who wins more. I prefer falco.

Atleast IMO, fox has more matchups where he has a lot of advantage. Falco, however, has all equal/slightly better or more matchups.Fox kinda loses to Marth, and IMO kinda loses to falco practically.

In a tournament setting, maining falco probably will get you the farthest.
Dual maining fox and falco has pretty much perfect coverage except on fd against marth/pikachu, which is pretty bad for fox, but falco probably can do it with a disadvantage, but doable disadvantage.

In addition to matchup consideration, one should take into account character popularity. Sheik Marth, and fox and falco are by far the most popular characters. Falco having good matchups against them usually means more than fox beating peach or puff.

In my opinion, Falco is the best tournament main, and falco/fox is even better. falco/marth is also really good.

My opinions/observations mostly come from what I see in the meta. I also main falco. I used to be falco/fox, but I think ill stick to one main in tournament until I get to a higher level where I feel I really need the extra advantage. The only thing I feel I have lost is the vs puff and vs peach as falco, and its definately doable, and IMO falco actually has a slight advantage instead of even.

l agree with @ T trilok
l'm a very technical player and can virtually do any tech consistently with Fox.
But do way less mistakes with Falco, so it's kind of a safety net having a similar character with slightly more forgiving inputs, more range and a superior neutral game as a secondary.

lf you ask me, Falco/Puff would be my optimum choice. But l actually go Fox/Falco/Sheik. My Puff sucks because l lack of patience when using her lol.
