Matchup Chart Project 2015 - Calling Pit & Dark Pit Mains!

Hello Pit & Dark Pit boards,

I'm Zareidriel. Over in this thread a guy called Assassannerr made a matchup chart, and asked people to help fill it out. It seems like it would be a cool thing to have. With once glance you could have a rough idea of a matchup. It won't be perfect, but for our first go at it in 2015 we're aiming for "somewhat functional."

So here's what I'm going to do. Go to every Character Discussion board, and ask the folks there if they wouldn't mind contributing. To submit one vote, you'll have to fill out one of these:

Mark each character with a + for a match where Pit & Dark Pit HAS THE ADVANTAGE
Mark each character with a - for a match where Pit & Dark Pit HAS THE DISADVANTAGE
Mark each character with a number 0 for a match you feel is very even.

NOTE THAT I AM ONLY TAKING VOTES FROM MEMBERS WITH Pit or Dark Pit IN THEIR PROFILE BAR. It can be as either "Wii U Main" or "3DS Main". But if neither Pit nor Dark Pit are in either one of those slots when I count the votes on Friday, Nov 13, it won't be counted.

(Yes, for the avid democrats out there, that means you can vote for one other character as well.)

Like I said, they won't be perfect, and each board will probably be a little biased toward their own respective character. But the results should be interesting regardless.

If this thing is successful maybe we'll do a revised version in 2016.

i would love to help but i don't feel like i have enough experience with all characters. It is also hard to determine a + or - because it could vary based on how skilled someone is and their playstyle could alter that as well.

You're right that all these things will affect the matchup. However the hope is that by combining everyone's opinions we end up with a result that is more or less correct. Even if you feel like you don't know enough, if you could vote anyway I would appreciate it.

Both characters have more of an advantage depending on the character because Arms and Arrows.

But why? Why would you choose Dark Pit over Pit in the Diddy, Falcon, D3 (I guess this one's because upperdash never kills, but why would electroshock be worth giving up arrows for?) or Pikachu matchups?

...Upperdash does kill though, just at the same percent(and direction, horizontal or vertical I get them mixed up accidentally), and Electroshock kills on the side of the stage. That's why DP is better against Pika, Falcon, D3, and Diddy than Pit, and Pit's better in MUs like Ness/Lucas, MK, Megaman, Link, etc.

Also, Some characters only have 3 or 4 votes instead of 5 though? Not sure if it will matter in the final but just gonna point that out
