Smash Wii U Matchmaking unfair?

Been a long time that I play online... but now it's just getting really unfun: I get matched with pro players where I can hardly touch them, getting combo'ed to death, and get taunted for being a noob. It's just really frustrating cause you can't become better (Sure, you only get combo'ed) and feel like you just get worse and worse. Any wonder we can't fight some opponents of our level? That happens to me very rarely, a fight where I feel I and my opponent have equal chances to win. No, there's just no way I can get matched with a player of my level. Must always fight pros who get hit few times, stacking up 30% damage or so...

Am I the only one who feels this way?

It's because For Glory doesn't have a Ranking System like it should, so the match ups are always random.

For me however, it seems to be the opposite. Sometimes I come across really terrible players (or possibly young kids who got on For Glory, hard to tell). I've encountered players who only spammed counter, Bowsers who always tried to Bowsercide like it was their only chance of winning, roll spammers, people who only picked top tiers when they had no idea how to use them, and more in For Glory.

It's rare for me to come across somebody who is either at my skill level or higher, and I consider myself to be a pretty average player.

If I do come across someone who is pretty good they are normally jerks who taunt, teabag, and insult which is a shame. I've also noticed if I get on late at night it's when most of the better players are more likely to be found, so if you mainly play at night that could be why. Sometimes I get jealous of people who say they find a lot of good players because I have such a hard time finding them.

In short, I wouldn't say the matchmaking is unfair. It's more along the lines of poorly designed due to the sheer randomness of opponents.

Some of us just get unlucky and all of us have tons of different experiences with For Glory, good and bad.

Really, I doubt For Glory has any sort of matchmaking thought put into it other than it matching you up against the first person it finds for you that might not lag to hell. You end up just getting thrown at people left and right who might not even know what they're doing.

Hell yeah, whatever I do I am unlucky. I swear, I'm unluncky in so much ways in life...

And also, I mostly play at 3 PM.

That would be a great addition, as most games (I think) own a ranking system, or something that acts like the same. Sm4sh shouldn't be an exception.
