I read about this earlier today. I'm glad that nobody got hurt and that the would-be shooters were stupid enough to post their plans on social media.

This story is peculiar for me since I live just outside the Metro Boston Area and I know a few people who attended the convention. What else is there to say? Glad a shooting was averted. One less shock story we need.

I can't shake the notion that the media fallout would somehow be more absurd than usual because of it being a Pokémon event. >_>

It's upsetting to think we'll have to have airport levels of security for a family friendly Nintendo event like this from now on.
