Hey everyone,

I am new to this whole forum thing but I have been playing for years. I am hosting a console tournament (for cash) at the University of Maryland. Anyone in the area should let me know

Announcing this through your university would be a much better way to find people who play this game, if you haven't done that already. I used Facebook to start a Smash club, and find and "recruit" people at my uni into the club. I managed to find people who play 64, Melee and Brawl, and we've hosted some smash sessions. Most people who play Smash64 probably don't hang around these forums as most play it more casually, but there are many people out there who will play this game at the drop of a hat, so be on the search! I was at a keggar last month where someone noticed that the people had N64 and SSB64, so I asked if we could set it up, and myself and a bunch of others just started playing in the middle of the party... This game has so much longevity haha

...Are you Mr. Brody? It's Wenbo here.
And Daedatheus, if it's the guy I think it is, he already has. Me and Winston both heard of it through one of the numerous fliers we saw hanging around our campus o.O

There's a chance I'd come... could you please just post on here instead of facebook?

You should've done this while I was still at UVA

Or you could simply update both and simply copy and paste.
If anyone knows tournament rules, post them, I think he's new at hosting tournaments (or at least, the way most people host tournaments).

Singles:
1st place - 65% of prize
2nd place - 25% of prize
3rd place - 10% of prize

Doubles:
1st place - 65% of prize
2nd place - 25% of prize
3rd place - 10% of prize

Date: Sunday June 3, 2007

Tournament Rules

••If a player plays Ness, he may demand a repick if Saffron City is selected as a random stage, however if the opponent is the loser he has the right it counter-pick Saffron City.
••All other stages banned
••First round stage is random unless players can agree upon a stage
•Advanced Slob Picks - Loser may choose the next stage or elect to go to random, then winner may choose to change characters, then loser may change characters
•Double Blind may be called in the first match

--You are responsible to BRING YOUR OWN CONTROLLER.
--You can buy a brand new first party controller here or you can try and find a new or used controller at your local game stores or Ebay.

*Both sets of rules are subject to change at ANYTIME

If you have noticed, I took out Dave's Stupid Rule for this tournament because there are not enough stages for that.

Also, please try to help us out and bring setups! N64, SSB64 cartridge, VCR, extra controllers etc... We have enough TVs, so you don't have to bring any TVs! This will help our tournament run a lot smoother. Thanks!

I heard one scream at Tennessee last year, and got a huge rock thrown at me this year outta nowhere... so personally I'm racking up experience with them... but as far as the bigfoot scene goes, no major developments and thanks to some dumba$s pranksters, more ridicule from the scientific community rather than the much needed research.

I could go on but only if they make a bigfoot subforum on smashboards.
