I don't know if this is really old news, sorry if it is. but while marth is in the air, his neutral b (shield breaker) has a horizontal push.

u can see it at around 4:10 in this video: http://youtube.com/watch?v=5142fHYDdBc

its likely accentuated due to the wind terrain/level thing on Pokemon stadium. but... yea :)

If you watch a little bit further when they are playing on Corneria he uses Neutral B again in the air and indeed the effect is not really the same. A little bit after 5:20.

Also an example of the vertical boost of the side b around 5:05.

Glad we are figuring this out :D

It almost looks like the side b boost is from the second move in the combo or something. And yeah it delivers a pretty serious boost, but looks like it wouldn't be able to be used as frequently.

From my playing it almost seems like the side b removes horizontal movement when recovering, it's definitely not a viable recovery anymore. I haven't tried the second hit boost though.

It looks like you use the first attack to stop yourself from being thrown further away, the second attack gives you a slight forward move, then you use Dolphin Slash to make it back from there...

Um, the boost that people seem to think is side-B looks to me like double jump => fair. Also, the neutral B seem to only push you forward a little, maybe more if you charge it. I think you'd be better off with double jump => air dodge, the latter will in this game push you in the direction you're already going, and you'll still be able to use up-B after it. Neutral B migth help slightly if used from a high place, but otherwise, i doubt any other B-move'll be worth recovering with.
