Fire Emblem DS has MArth in it. I'm not sure whether he is the main star but this is the third FE game that he will be in.

Mostly, look at the character data screen. Look at the Katakana beside his sprite. If I'm not mistaken, the characters are Marusu(or Marth since Japanese has no characters for TH).

Marth is becoming quite important to the FE series. Maybe he'll be improved in FE and balanced out in Brawl. ^_^

It doesn't necessarily confirm him, but it does make his chances look better since Nintendo does appear to have interest in continuing to use him in the Fire Emblem series. Hopefully they'll release the game here as well, now that we do get the series, it would be nice to have one of Marth's games.

Marth is currently a Japan only character. His chances are VERY slim.
Super Smash Bros. Melee only came out in Japan? ****, then what the hell have I been playing these past 6 years?!

And Lucas... Mother 3 came out in America?!?! Seriously?!?!

Marth is so totally in.

He represents the first Fire Emblem game ever. Removing him would be like cutting Pikachu from the pokemon line-up. And if he's getting a brand-spankin'-new DS game? Yeah, he's totally in. We have our two Fire Emblem characters.

Marth's inclusion in Melee took him out of the Japan-only realm. His games may have not appeared here yet, but the character has, which means he is international if for nothing more than a role in Smash Bros. ;)

Funny that you say that BUT he is the most used character in melee and not to mention, wasn't lucas confirmed like two weeks ago? Durrrrr....
Lucas in Brawl means Mother 3 is coming to the US somtime.

Read what I posted before. Also, your hidden flames make you look ********. VERY ********.

Finally, Sakurai said he didn't want Japan only characters in this title.

if Sakurai said he didn't want Japan only characters in Brawl, that must mean that Marth's new game is going to be coming to the US (probably)

I mean, it would make sense... right?

It's called "sarcasm," not "hidden flames."

And seriously, Lucas, as of now, is a Japanese only character in Brawl, and Nintendo has absolutely no plans of translating it. Until you can prove that Brawl will cause its translation... You have no point to stand on. When Brawl comes out, Lucas will not have appeared in a non-Japan-only game. Japan only character in Brawl. The end.

And I'm fairly certain Marth is in Super Smash Bros. Melee, which I'm fairly certain was released outside of Japan. Marth has been playable in a game released outside of Japan therefore, Marth =/= Japan only.

And Sakurai never said he wasn't going to put Japan-only characters in. No, what he said was that he didn't want too many, but immediately recanted said point (in the same sentence!) by recalling how well received Marth and Roy were.

EDIT: And besides, Fire Emblem is hugely successful in America, and Fire Emblem DS is almost garaunteed to be translated.

This thread is confirmed to stay open (possibly).

Good info, but we don't need a whole new thread on just this. It can be posted in an existing Marth thread.
