Mario's move priority, how much does he have?

How much priority do Mario's moves have? Which moves have the most prority? I know there are some threads that discuss this a bit but I'd like some more in-depth detail of Mario's priority.

Marios bair is still jesus, his flipkick seems to have more range behind him now, but less in front, dair is rather small of a hit box till the last hit (which is pretty big) and it only hits around his arms., his nair is slightly smaller too. fair seems slightly "longer" but, the hitbox for spiking is later in the animation where its smaller.

ftilt seems longer, dtilt seems pretty much the same hitbox wise. fsmash still has a sweet spot, longer range, dsmash seems shorter range, usmash hits more behind him now, and is bigger. (like luigis in melee)

fireballs are the same size, cape's hitbox seems "thinner" and hits behind him way less. (harder to cape things backwards). upb is still fat and juicy.


hit boxes seem to deminish faster all around though.

Thanks, but can you give me some examples in comparison to other characters; where do his attacks rank in priority in comparison to other characters?

ahh, his limb stick out a bit more than some of the other stubby character. his range is definatley more compariable to luigi this time around, he dosent beat you out from above and below nearly all the time. he cant hang with disjointed hit boxes, but clashing is still an option. and dispite meta being a bad match up for him, he can still compete priority wise.

any particular character match ups youd wanna hear about?

Well, I think I'd like to hear more about Meta Knight, Marth, Ike, Pikachu, and the space animals.

*I'm worried about some other characters too, but I want to figure out these guys first*

well with meta, your not touching him from above unless you have a disjointed hit box. uair is too fast, and too big. on characters with out real projectiles you can keep yourself safe from rushdown with fireballs use properly. throw one too late though and you might get hit out of it. you can hit him out of his A string on the ground with longer range moves. (ie: fsmash) but its really a mistake on their part to do it long enough for that. his other airs have range too, but ive not seen any of them be unbeatable.
