What Mario game would make a good stage?

I can think of a retro stage:

The perfect Mario 3 Stage:

Like Big Blue in Melee but slower

And a Paper Mario Stage:

Yes! Mario Bros. would be a perfect stage! It's the best retro stage that I can imagine.

You forgot his many spinoff series (though they seem like they'd take up a lot of room, maybe it's for the best!)

But we've already seen that we're getting a Mario Kart stage, so a Dr. Mario or Mario Golf stage (or
Party, or Tennis, or Baseball, or Strikers) stage doesn't seem THAT far-fetched.
Also: Galaxy will be out when Brawl is released.

Yeah a Paper Mario stage would be nice as long as Paper Mario is not in the game.

I'd have to agree with that. Tennis, Baseball, and Strikers might be a bit more unrealistic, but I could certainly see a Mario Party stage to contrast with the Mario Kart stage. I think there was actually a thread for one somewhere in the Stage Forum.

Also Galaxy seems likely to get atleast one stage, considering they've got Delfino Plaza in there too and they *did* have Peach's Castle in its Mario 64 version in Melee. Yes I know Galaxy won't have been out as long, and at the time we didn't see Delfino Plaza in Melee but we only do now years later, but still with the time put into it I think they'd be proactive enough for a Galaxy stage's inclusion.

As for the other games, I could certainly see a Super Mario RPG stage *if* Geno is in, not that I've played it or really care for Geno but still it would seem fairly likely. I like the first retro suggestion too, though, and bringing back the old POW block we also saw in Mushroom Kingdoom in Smash 64 would be a welcome return of such a fun stage hazard

New Super Mario Bros. level isabsolutely most likely. The huge success of the game is one, and the music is shown as a selection in the dojo's "My Music" update.

I expect to see tall mushroom platforms in the sky
