Mario Kart DS WI-FI question

Hi everyone, Blackadder here .

I recently have obtained Wireless internet, and will be setting it up soon.
I have a DS, and I am greatly looking forward to playing some DS games online, namingly, Mario Kart.
I would like to know a few things:
Do I need any special DS accessories to connect to the WI-FI network?
And does Mario Kart require friends’ lists?
(In which case, I'm boned, because none of my friends had a DS)

My friend, nintendo has you covered. No you don't need to buy anything else to hook your DS up to your wireless network (assuming you do have a wireless network, otherwise get ready to drop some cash). The DS is wi-fi capable already, which is why you can link with other DS's around you and picto-chat your heart out.

Its been a while since I played mario kart online, but you do get a code so you can play with your friends but you can play with random people too. Be warned: Those online folk are serious about their mario kart.
