What do you think of the game? Which pair and which kart do you use, (besides Parade Kart cuz that kart owns)
DD is awesome! The only thing I don't like about it is that Petey Pirhana and King Boo are freakishly hard to beat on Mirror Mode and 150cc.
I usually use Yoshi and Luigi (they are my mains for smash too!!!), and I use Green Fire and Turbo Yoshi.

Behind you.
In all honesty, I'm hoping for a Wii port of Double Dash. Not only would it make sense (driver turns the Wiimote on its side and drives, gunner literally throws the shells), but it was one of the first things that came to mind when I saw the Wii in action.

DD gave me some great times...it's been a while since I've played it though, but for what it was worth, it was superb.

DD is amazing. Still the pinnacle of the MK series. I enjoy using Mario and Peach. Mario because he's Mario, and Peach for her Hearts special. Plus I like the balanced kart that Mario uses. Don't like using the Parade Kart since it's so godly.

I love Mario Kart DD, having it on the Wii would be a great idea. My favorite combo is Toad plus the Red Koopa for the gold mushroom and the triple red/green shell specials, both being light characters to use the bullet car

I love my Bowser Junior + Mario/Paratrooper combo. Usually in the bullet Bill or in Mario's kart. I hope that the new addition to the mario kart series is like MK64. Double Dash is fun. But for online I like the classic feel of MK64.

huge [censored] BUMP!!!!

Who still plays this? I LOVE it, best mario kart ever probably!

Anyone knows how to dodge blue shells? I usually always pwn my friends and i only get owned by blue shields. If i could avoid them all the time, it would be amazing. So far i have only avoided it a very few times using mushrooms (besides stars of course)

The only way to avoid blue shells while in 1st place is to use the star or boo item (I think they have that in DD?). Or if you find out that one of your friends have a blue shell, purposely let another friend take 1st place then move in ahead of him after he gets hit by it. xD

That, or drive off the stage before it hits you.

what? can you explain details???

btw the infraction is too strict -.-
Well, you know how the blue shells always target the player who is in first place? (Even if you're in first place and you purposely slow down and let someone else take 1st, it will still hit you cause it targets the player who was in 1st place when the blue shell was fired)

Basically, find a part of the road or whatever and drive off it a little bit before the blue shell hits you. Cause when lakita (I think he rescues you in DD? I haven't played it in a while) saves you, you're invincible till he drops you. The point of driving off the track just as the blue shell hits you is to avoid it. (Although it may be slower than just being hit by the blue shell)

okay so the drive off the road method is def. bad... But thanks UberMario thats what I was talking about, I dodged the blue shells using this method with pure coincidence and just by trying stuff.

BTW I think bumping an existing thread about MKDD is better than creating a new one... I didnt realise that this could be in the mario forum (I dont consider this game a pure MARIO type game)

Well what I was saying before is we have a similar thread in the Mario forum that applies to all Mario Karts, plus there are plenty of Mario fans (obviously) that check that board out so you'll probably get more input on Mario-related stuff there.

Also, I've tried doing it with larger karts and it seems that the Barrel Train is the best to practice with since it's one of the best karts in the game, the narrowest, and has a great mini-turbo. It's practically impossible to do it with the heavyweights unless you're on hilly terrain. (Like on the bumps in Waluigi Stadium)

I think the best team/kart (clearly) is DIDDY KONG (lol big bananas) and PARATROOPA (lol 3 red shells) and using the great BLUE SMALL KART
Using this team + now that I know how to dodge blue shells, I'm invincible lol

I only get beaten often on baby park cuz that stage very n00b friendly

i've always seen baby park (whether it be mario kart DS or mario kart DD) to be the same as falcon dittos in smash 64 on the dreamland stage

either player can win lol

it's just so... i don't know. i wouldn't say noob friendly, though.

I always liked Yoshi and Birdo as a team. Homing eggs ftw!!! (Don't they also release items too when they explode?)

Yoshi eggs are cool and hard to dodge, but can also backfire if a mushroom or esp. a STAR appears into the opponent's face.

Baby Park is definitely n00b friendly, its impossible to have an easier track and its mostly about the items lottery. Unless you suck completely, if you get the best items at the last lap, you win... example star or lightning... and the fastest one gets owned pretty often by blue shells... o wait they can be dodged, at least

Best track by far is DK Mountain. You gotta have skill to do it fast and to take the shortcut as better as possible.
