I'd say yes! Mario Kart 7's battle mode isn't the best, but it's leaps better than 8's. The biggest problem with 8 is that there aren't any Battle Mode-specific arenas, all of the matches are done on the actual race tracks, which has led to my friends and I driving around for several minutes sometimes without seeing one another.What? Battle mode is possibly my favorite thing about Mario Kart!
So I should go with Mario Kart 7 in that case?

As a whole, I believe Mario Kart 8 is better, but its battle mode is just awful.
