Mario Galaxy Stage

Wherever I am right now.
Having just recently purchased the very awesome game Super Mario Galaxy, I was thinking how cool / nifty it'd be if there was a stage in Brawl that was modeled after a Mario Galaxy planet.

Think about it, it would have some kind of gravitational effect that makes smashing your opponents off the edge a little more difficult, but alot more fun, seeing as you could string combos together by using the pull of the gravity to your advantage. It'd be pretty cool to see your buddy get knocked all the way AROUND the stage in one nice smash.

I dunno, maybe I'm still just struck with awe by Nintendo's fantastic job on SMG, but I think an orbit-like stage would be a neat and welcome addition to Brawl.

Thoughts?

That would be incredible. I really hope they implement this. I'm not so sure they will, but It would be nice. There would be a specific % where you could knock your opponent all the way around the planet. Then you could just turn around and do it again.

DI would be difficult though. And fast falling would be weird when you have to push up to do it. Having gravity at the center of the screen would really take some getting used to.

I haven't shelled out for galaxy yet because I've never been a huge fan of Mario games. I like sunshine, but never finished it because I rented it. That seemed to be enough for me. Is galaxy worth buying, or do you think I'd be fine just renting it?

PLaying on a sphere. To Ko someone you literally have to knock them out side the planets gravitation. You could also have fun running around in circles...followed by a huge leap, which sends you...FLYING around in circles...yay, it would be cool launching someone around the planet when you hit them really hard though

So I'd thought about this too, and posted an idea on another board (a Mario Kart Wii board, actually). But just to further extend the planet idea, I thought it'd be fun to have multiple planets. Here's what I had going, some of which you guys have already touched on:

It would have to be a big level for my idea to work, possibly biggest ever, but what it would be is a big planet out in space. Above and below it and either slightly left or right would be two smaller planets, though not necessarily small. The cool part would be if you could fight on more than just the top of the planets, so you can Brawl sideways and upside down and a full 360 spectrum. It may or may not be a bit of a learning curve, because if you're upside down, your forward and the characters' forward would be the opposite directions of each other. And to get from one planet to another you'd have to get outside a planet's gravitational pull, which would require double jumping and the up special move for a character (which would mean each characters' up special gives them increased height, unlike previously, ie. Yoshi). Another way to leave a planet's gravity would be being knocked out by an opponent. But leaving one planet doesn't mean you automatically switch planets.. there should just be open galaxy where you can float around freely as you Brawl. Then once you choose to enter a differerent planet's gravity you are dropped straight to the planet, no matter where you entered the gravitational field, so if you come in on the side, you just faceplant. This means if you're floating in space and an opponent knocks you into another planet's gravity near the bottom of the planet, you land on your head, adding insult to injury.
