Hello! This isn't really a support question so I thought I would post it here instead. I just find this odd/interesting and was wondering if it's just me.

So, on all of my custom Mario/Yoshi skins in Project M, whenever I use my cape/throw an egg or turn an enemy into an egg, the textures are all messed up. I thought it was random at first, but then in Yoshi's case I noticed a pattern. If there is an item nearby, the egg will take on the texture of that item, if there's no item, it'll take on the texture of an enemy NPC, if there is no enemy NPC, it'll take on the texture of the player's skin. Weirdest thing. Mario's cape does similar things as well.

I imported all of these skins using Brawl Costume Manager (yeah yeah outdated, but it's worked ok for me so far) so maybe that has something to do with it? Anyone else seen this before?

Example:

Project M updated the files for Mario and Yoshi to have their capes and eggs be different colors for each costume slot which are now being loaded from individual model files instead of the moveset files. The garbled textures are a result of the model not having the cape/egg texture and the game loading some other texture in its place.

If you're trying to use a texture edit, you can easily fix this by just exporting the textures with Brawl Box and importing them into one of the PM files. Not sure how to go about it with a model edit but you could try exporting and reimporting the model data as well as the textures.

Oh wow! Who'd have thunk it was something this simple. Yeah I guess I could go ahead and do a texture import if I ever feel the motivation to fix this. Thanks for the tip!
