Downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan first Smash Bros. 4 tournament at GrandLan Gaming Center.

To find the event page on Facebook please search: Grand Smash #1

Set-ups are needed for the event so if you have anything (HDTV/GC adapter/Wii U/ect.) please bring them and help support us.

Grand Smash #1 Rule Set (Please Read!):

A. Game Settings

- Stock and time are set to 2 stock and 6 minutes for Singles

- Stock and time are set to 3 stock and 8 minutes for Doubles

- Items off

- The Singles tournament will be a double elimination bracket with matches being best 2 out of 3. Losers, Winners, and Grand Finals will all be best 3 out of 5.

- The doubles tournament will start with pool play (the number of rounds will be determined by the number of teams that enter, but will probably be around 4). Each round of pool play will have best 2 out of 3 to determine the winner. The top 4 teams after pools will then move onto a double elimination bracket which is best 3 out of 5.

- Custom Fighters are set to on

- No Badges Allowed

- Custom Moves are to be set up before the 1st match. Once the custom moves are set, you may not change them once the 1st match starts.

- The custom moves you select must be told to your opponent.

- Mii Fighters are legal (Miis that are used must be set at medium setting for height and weight).

B. Stage List

Starter Stages:
- Battlefield
- Palutena’s Temple Omega Stage (This stage takes the place of FD)
- Smashville

Counterpick Stages:

C. Additional Rules

- Order of steps to take when playing:

1.) Each player selects their starting character (they also set their controls/customs if not already)
2.) At the stage select screen Player/Team 1 strikes a stage from the starter stages. Player/Team 2 then strikes a stage from the same list. The remaining stage will be the one played on.
3.) Play the Match.
4.) At the end of the match, the winner has the opportunity to change characters if desired.
5.) The loser then can change characters if desired.
6.) *At the stage select screen the winner of the last match may strike 2 stages from the counter pick list.
7.) The loser then picks the stage to play on.
8.) Repeat steps 3-7 if need be.

*You cannot ban the stage you just won on.

D. Glitches/Custom Move bans:

-Any known glitch/custom move that is known to stall or break the game will result in an automatic loss if determined by the TO. If you believe your opponent has used a glitch/banned move, you may pause the game and flag over the TO. They will make the final decision on the matter.

-Examples of glitches:
Bowser Jr’s Clown Car Glitch
Stage specific glitches
Olimar’s Custom Move “Order Tackle”

*The TO reserves the right to ban a custom move that has creditable evidence of being game breaking.
