I thought i'd use the japanese name to make people think its something different and click this thread... Lol...

Manyula AKA Weavile is an Ice/Dark Type. It is commonly used in competitive battling in the pokemon games and has appeared in the anime a number of times. Its latest debut in the anime was under the control of Shinji when he battled the Shinou Chamipion Shirona. oh and it can beat Lucario in the pokemon games if that counts for anything...

It'd be a fast and hard hitting character but very light and easy to knock off the stage. oddly enough Weavile who has base 45 sp attk (if you don't know anything about pokemon this means VERY VERY VERY low) has a great special movepool, so its not lacking in projectile attacks...

Anywho... Weavile seems like a likely candidate for brawl. Discuss

In my opinion, I honestly believe that there will be no more Pokemon additions.

Confirmed: Pikachu
Confirmed: Pokemon Trainer (Squirtle, Ivysaur, Charizard)
Very high chance of returning: Jigglypuff
Fairly high chance of returning: Mewtwo

With the potential of 5 Playable Pokemon characters (Maybe even 6 with Pichu), as well as the Poke Ball item which hosts an enormous cast of Pokemon, I believe the Pokemon franchise has more than enough representation in Smash Brawl. Sakurai himself has already stated that he is looking forward to bringing new franchises to Smash Brawl, and improving more on said franchises. Pokemon does not need any more characters, It has more than enough of them running around. Smash Brawl is a game about many different franchises coming together. We wouldn't want Pokemon to overflow the roster, giving Smash a feeling that Pokemon are the highlight of the roster. I humbly believe Sakurai feels and thinks the same way.

This is another stupid Pokemon character like Blaziken/Gardevoir/Gengar, a.k.a the random Pokemon that do not have any reason to be in Brawl whatsoever.

Blaziken is a starter pokemon he's not random... also gardevoir is part of the story mode in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon and Gengar is main antagonist in that game as well... Those aren't random pokemon... >_>;

Whatever you say, Gardevoir and Genger do appear in Mystery Dungeon but that doesn't make them worthy of being in brawl, Blaziken is a starter Pokemon, but that doesn't mean he should be in brawl either. Even if they aren't exactly "random", they are still ****ing stupid ideas, which is what I meant.

i think that there will be 5 poke franchise reps.

Pika (confirmed)
Trainer (confirmed)
Jiggly
Lucario
Mewtwo or Munchlax

Weavile doesn't make my cut, but she will probobly be a pokeball IMO

Nice point...

but behold the more-like-anyone-thought poke characters to come...
