Wouldnt that be a great idea for tournaments? It would become become fast as Melee if they decide to do that for tournaments like EVO and Apex!

What do you guys think? im surprised nobody thought of doing Fast Smash for this game, its pretty fun and exciting too!

This was suggested in Brawl too. Speeding up the entire game does not fix the "problems" people think when the game is too slow. Even though the game is speed up, you proportionally have the same landing lag, run speed, fall speed, recovery, etc. Also having a special smash mode as a standard didn't seem like the best idea to the community either.

Going from Melee to this game back and forth, I would say this game pretty much has Melee's speed, but people don't realize it. What slows the game down is the gravity and long landing lag from aerials.

Wouldnt there also be a lost in inputs, or would people just need to apply to the speed.

Again, its also the issue of dividing the community between normal and special modes that many have discussed don't want to see at least not this early in the game's meta.

I remember trying to do fast mode in Brawl and recall it being TOO fast and trying to pull off anything was just awkward.

isnt it better to do this kind of thing early on? It would be much harder to convince people to change a few years down the line, look at the pushback against one stock brawl.

I saw Smooth Landing Heavy.

It's not more like Melee. It's more like a poor man's Street Fighter.

As well as lack of wavedashing and L cancelling.

But I think thats also why people call this Brawl 2.0, when in actuality, its actually almost as fast as Melee.
