Making an Air-to-Ground Attack

I want my character to have an Up Smash that lifts them into the air, like a jumping Up Special. I've tried everything -- Setting their state to aerial, giving them vertical momentum, making their animation's TransN bone move upwards and turning on "animation moves character" -- Is there any way that I can make an attack move a character vertically upwards in PSA?
